Threeworlds has been an amazing company to work with!
I am fairly new to the flow arts world, but became a bit obsessed with the Dragon Staff after spinning one on fire back in July. When I decided I wanted to purchase my own, I quickly became overwhelmed by the immense variety of options for what to buy.
I did A LOT of research, and eventually decied on Threeworlds for a few reasons:
-They are one of only a few companies who sell collapsible staffs, that light on fire. (This was a necessity for me, since I don't own a car, so I bike everywhere.) The fusion connector was well-reviewed, and has proven to function excellently (remember to keep it clean- washing with soapy water really does help!!)
-I could choose between carbon fiber and aluminum. Ultimately I chose carbon fiber & am happy with this decision!
-In deciding what kind of grip I wanted, I was overwhelmed by the number of options, but also realized that many companies have a proprietary grip. Threeworlds has their F-grip, which I have found that I really love!
-There are a variety of options for Dragon staff ends! So many! I wanted to have fire wicks, for sure! I could choose between 3 or 4 wicks on each end, and even now, with the hub I chose, I can still make that change.
- I also wanted to have LED ends. I am very happy with the Lumi ends I chose. They were easy to set up & have proven to be lighweight while also very durable. The Lumi ends come with their own hub made of silicone, which just pushes on to the end of the staff. I was dubious as to how well it would stay on, but actually it stays on great, and also comes off easily.
-I was also able to purchase daytime practice ends. I spent the extra $$ to purchase an additional hub, this way I don't have to mess with the tiny allen wrench every time I want to switch out the spokes. I can keep my sooty fire hub separate from my practice hub.
-AND, I also purchased contact staff ends, too! Essentially, I have 4 different toys in one. It's pretty cool.
-They have two options for hubs, both of which seem high-end and well-made. I went with the Ultra hubs, which use the same fusion connectors as the collapsible staff. I am happy with that selection.
Another reason I wish to distingish Threeworlds is their awesome customer service. Even before making a purchase, they were extremely quick and thorough when answering the questions I had.
After making the purchase and recieving my items, I realized I was not satisfied with the contact ends I had purchased. They were very easy to work with in the exchange for a different set of contact ends. However, please note that I did have to pay the shipping fees to return the item from USA to Australia- I recommend doing your best to be sure you're purchasing the items you really want, prior to pressing the OK button, as overseas shipping costs are spendy! But Threeworlds worked with me in finding a compromise for the secondary shipping costs on the item I switched for.
