Grips sleeve over the Fusion staff for comfort and control while you play. There are three to choose from, and the main thing that separates them is how they behave once your hands start sweating.
F-Grip (default)
- A natural rubber compound that sleeves over the staff.
- Very grippy, very durable and a nice feel in the hand — and still reasonably grippy when you're sweating.
- Customisable with colour O-rings.
- The current version is V2, a tube format that replaced the original V1 tape.
Silicone tube
- A clear silicone tube that slides onto the staff, 17mm ID × 20mm OD. We recently downsized it by 2mm for a tighter fit.
- Works well in dry conditions, but gets pretty slippery once you sweat.
EPDM foam
- A foam grip that wraps on rather than sleeving over, so it can also overlap at the joins.
- The most grippy option when you're sweaty — the best pick if you perspire heavily.
- The least durable of the three: it wears out quickly and leaves a black residue on your skin as you play.
Which one should I choose?
- F-Grip is our preferred option and the default. It's excellent for grip when dry and for durability, and good when sweaty.
- Silicone tube is good in the dry and holds up well, and it's the one to pick if you want the clear look — but grip is poor once you sweat.
- EPDM foam is the best choice for grip when you're sweaty, as long as you're happy to trade durability and accept the black residue.
