The R3 is the LED light unit at the core of the Lumi LED and Prism product ranges. All three variants share the same software and circuit — only the LED type and battery size differ.

Jason directly confirmed shared R3 firmware and the Fusion spin/standard/Prism hybrid R3S applications. The exact original source for the LED package specifications, beam angle, battery capacities and complete mapping table below has not been established. Treat those details as unverified reference data, not independently confirmed specifications. Shared firmware does not by itself prove identical circuit hardware.
The current replacement light-unit listing corroborates the R3P/R3S/R3C names and several product/case mappings, but also retains older R2 wording. It does not establish the full electronics specification or a clean R2-to-R3 chronology.

Key differences
Confirmed Fusion applications (2026-09-07): Spin LED ends and standard/Prism contact hybrid ends currently use R3S at the outer end. One unit per hybrid end provides its lighting; on a Prism hybrid, that single unit illuminates both the tube and the pod because of its position at the end. Each Dragon Head spoke has its own light, giving three units per head and six per pair; adding two hybrid-end units gives eight in a hybrid dragon assembly. These totals are calculated from the confirmed component counts. The earlier broad assignment of all Prism products to R3P was incorrect for Prism hybrid staff ends. - R3P vs R3S: R3P radiates light outward (good inside balls and end-lit products), R3S projects a tight beam out the end (good for staffs). R3P has the larger 500mAh battery.
- R3P vs R3C: Same LED and light pattern, but R3C uses the smaller 130mAh battery for compact spaces.
- R3S vs R3C: Same 130mAh battery, but different LED — R3S is directional, R3C is radial.

- Juggling club case — includes vibration prevention pins and additional glue to withstand impact shock
