- Break it down: twist each end off the handle. Twist Ultra hubs out of the ends; V3 hubs unclamp with the Allen key. You can also loosen the grub screws and pull the spokes out to keep it compact.
- Pack it: the longest piece is an end tube (up to 650mm on a 1700mm staff), so everything fits in a staff bag or a large suitcase. Wrap the spokes so they don't scratch the tubes.
- Fire spokes: let used wicks air out for several days and seal them in a bag, because airlines can refuse items that smell of fuel. Never pack fuel. Buy it at your destination.
- LED spokes and heads: switch the lights off and check your airline's rules on lithium batteries.
Rules vary between airlines, so check their sporting equipment and dangerous goods policies before you fly.
