An enhanced version of everyone's favourite monkey fist fire poi. The rope wick has been expertly braided for a seamless surface and balanced weight, making stalls and tricky moves a breeze. The tightly braided wick is incorporated into the iconic monkey fist knot. With a full Kevlar leash, there are no hot or tangled metal parts.

These fire poi are crafted by professionals for pro spinners.

Safety Notice:
– Tethers are non-replaceable. Keep them dry and do not let fuel soak them.
– When fuelling, dip only the lower 85% to 90% of the wick.
– Fuel will wick upward, there's no need to submerge the whole poi.
– Inspect tethers regularly. Do not use if damaged.

After less than 10 spins… the poi heads separated from the tethers, which were glued(?, see pics) into a hollow plastic core.

I was disheartened by this, very disappointed, especially since I had chat with someone beforehand to confirm the quality of the build.

I thought it’s best to make this review so that people know what to watch out for, as the way it’s constructed is not been made obvious.

I took care to only dip 85-90% of the way as stated, I kept appropriate fire safety & wick care such as: keeping a constant spin until putting out the flame, putting out the flame before it starts burning the wick itself. So I don’t believe it’s a user error.

So, I can’t recommend these fire poi. I deem them as unsafe for spinning fire & a temperamental build.
