This Custom Djembe Skin is made to order. We can make them in 5mm increments. Minimum size that we can make is a 230mm skin.
To make you a custom skin we need you to provide us with the measurement of the outside diameter of your drum shell from the largest point (see image below). If your drum is seriously out of shape then please let us know, otherwise this method will work well. Just enter the diameter in 'Add A Note To Your Order' at Checkout.
This item includes both rings, and the skin pressed around the rings.
The process of fitting is still involved and requires some skills. You'll need to cut the excess skin once after you fit and tension it onto your drum.
Ropes not included and we recommend using 4mm rope, as the rings are designed to use this size rope.

The skins we use are unique to Threeworlds djembes. Named EvoluSkin heads, they are a synthetic (and vegan) alternative to animal hides. For everyday use, we think they're much better suited to the majority as they are incredibly low maintenance; They rarely need tuning, they are weather proof – meaning they don't lose tension or crack with humidity or dry weather spells and they can even be played in the rain no problem! They are also easy to travel with in regards to customs and flying with your drum; You can take it absolutely anywhere you go. They have a consistently crisp tone with warm basses and bright tones. Slaps will cut through with their lively overtones. Overall, we believe our EvoluSkins will meet all your needs for a practical and flavourful djembe drum.

Absolutely perfect skins!
When my goatskin head split on my djembe I knew I had to get one of these Remo Nuskyn heads from Three Worlds. I had become frustrated at having to renew my goatskin head every time it split, which worked out about every couple of years and thus got quite expensive over time. Traditional goat skins weren't lasting long for me, despite the fact that I meticulously look after my drum. With the custom Remo Nuskyn head I now have a djembe that is 'animal-free'. The Nuskyn head provides a sound as close to actual goat skin that you will get. That it doesn't stretch or contract in varying environmental temperatures and will likely last a whole lot longer than a goat skin are primary reasons to put one of these on your beloved djembe shell. I think it's the ultimate combo now: Traditional wooden shell with a Remo Nuskyn head. Tight, deep bass with nice, crisp tones and slaps make this skin the perfect addition to a wooden shell. I've cranked the skin up quite tight and haven't got a fear of it splitting, like I did with goat skin. Living in NZ, it was a blessing to have Three Worlds sell these heads so I didn't have to go further afield to the USA. Staff at Three Worlds made this order a breeze and wanted to please. As with other purchases I've made through Three Worlds, I couldn't be happier. I'm one stoked customer (and I didn't get paid to write this!)!

NuSkyn = Best Skin!
Absolutely loved the NuSkyn Synthetic Djembe skin that Threeworlds offers... Sounds incredible!! And So freaking tough! So good to use and play a skin that feels and sounds hearty, but without the tinny-ness of other synth skins, or the fragility of animal skins... Especially with their ability to size each skin to your needed diameter, within 5mm! Reallllllllly hope they can keep providing this kickass product well in to the future... delivery interstate is no worries at all. And speedy..! I will be sourcing all my re-skin work from them with this product... The only (simple I hope) hurdle im yet to work out is how to acquire the skins at the requested sizes I need, without the rings being sent as well (if/when the occasion is that I don't need them) and without the need for me to send them my own rings for the sizing, which would take way too long... But all else though - Kickass job. Thanks guys!
