Woodskin Single Kick Cajon
I'm impressed with this cajon. It has a clear rich tone, great build and he leavers to activate the snares and the felt damper are really solid. As a classroom music teacher being able to use the kick while playing another instrument or clapping rhythms has been a real benefit.
Just brought wood skin single kick cajon , used it for the first time in a gig last night.
Foot pedal takes a bit to get use to.
Very happy with the sound , getting familiar with controls on side .
Would have appreciated some basic instructions, over all a good drum
This is a fantastic cajon, after trying some across Australia, England, Greece and Sevilla (Spain), this is probably one of the best.
I bought the double pedal version, which was slightly more expensive at $775, but again worth every cent, the two pedals are for kick and snare and have great tone.
All controls are easily accessible for quickly switching the snare on/off mid set the front The front ply is 100% rock solid; a real asset when your learning the slap techniques you need for proper cajon playing, as opposed to a lot of cheap thin-ply cajons out there which tend to have a 'buzz' from the snare.
It's a great multi-use instrument, fantastic for adding a beat to an otherwise far-too mellow acoustic jam.
I personally use mine as both a base for when I play percussion, and also use it to give me a beat while I'm playing guitar (who says fella's can't multitask!)
If your tempted - dont delay and BUY ONE!!!! you will NOT regret it! I really can't rate this highly enough!
