I purchased these for myself and my husband because I wanted to teach him how to spin without getting black marks all over my body, paying for fuel, or smelling of kero forever (all of which became a deterrent in fire spinning for me).
We have been using these staffs since we got them about a month ago and we LOVE them. They are excellently balanced, bright, and really fun to use! I was originally tied between purchasing this staff and the full-length contact with no centre grip to interrupt the glowy - we decided on these as my husband thought they looked cooler. I must say that I'm glad we got these because the collapsable element makes it easy to transport and if you want to you can also just use the two sticks individually for dual-wielding spins.
The last staff that I got as a gift was a lot taller than myself which I realise now made for an unnecessary challenge in spinning. It's tempting to get the tallest staff available to maximise the pretty colours, but I recommend instead to make sure you measure properly - the base guide seems to be just a bit taller than chin height/anywhere up to eye-height, or just an inch or two shorter than the centre of your palm to the ground multiplied by 2. My husband and I are around 170cm tall and got the 1500mm staffs which feels like a good height for us.
We had originally not received enough Concentrate batteries for the C5 units, but customer service was friendly and great to deal with to get this issue resolved :)
Because of another review I had read about these staffs, I had actually assumed that normal rechargeable batteries would not work in these staffs at all, so I waited like a kid waits for Christmas until I received all of my concentrate batteries... props to me for that - but I was wrong! For out C5 units, regular rechargeables work fine! Although I would say I definitely prefer using the Concentrates though as they seem to produce a brighter colour for longer.
The only comment I would make is that the silicone grip gets quite slippery with the introduction of dewy grass - maybe that will improve when I get good at not dropping it XD
Overall I would absolutely recommend this product!
This was my first staff that I owned. In terms of diameter - its exactly the diameter of a broomstick, so not narrow. The two LED end sections are noticeably flexible/flimsy, so for rolling maneuvers feel kindof weird.
The led part is a chinese piece, which has a rechargable AAA battery inside, which is nice bc dont need to keep throwing away batteries.. mine lasted only a few minutes of light, but maybe becase they werent completely charged initially. I replaced them with other batteries and they are have lasted an hour or so and arent fading, so I guess more.
The leds look cool and are quite bright.. Ive dropped the staff a bunch of times and it still works so that nice.
Nice that it comes apart, and the connections feel solid.
Overall feels pretty good, def for the price, as its not a 200$+ staff.. Dont know how those compare. Enjoy spinning!
I took this staff for travel and its perfect! I can put it in my backpack, very compact staff !
The grip is very good, and LED effects are so beautiful !
Thanks from France!
I had to pay the taxes in Spain, and
Simply put, THIS STAFF IS BY FAR THE BEST LED CONTACT STAFF I'VE SEEN.
I've been meaning to write this for a while. Almost a year ago I had a lot of correspondence with the Threeworlds team. They were extremely helpful, and I've felt I owe them a good review, as well as wanted to really express how awesome this staff is.
I've gone through 2 of them already. I started with the solid 1 piece contact staff. A great place to start for beginners. I later upgraded to the collapsible 3 piece, this is a major upgrade. The 1 piece is just plastic. It looks really good as the lights illuminate the entire thing, but also it's got a decent amount of bounce in it. Better for learning and less painful when you hit yourself. It's still my practice staff. The collapsible version is significantly more ridged and a bit heavier, which help a lot for getting into more contact moves. The silicone grips are great when dry, but can be quite slippery when wet. 2 min into a set, I'm a sweaty monster. Solution? Gloves. Made all the difference. It's really durable too, just keep it away from sharp edges.
I've played with a lot of other contact staffs at festivals. I've not handled any other LED staffs that feel as good as the Fusion. Also, it looks amazing. None of this disjointed light pod or other weird pieces. Solid bright color, in whatever sequence you can imagine. Watch the LED operation video, they're fantastic.
I've also received a ton of feedback from other staffers that inevitably come ask to try it. Everyone loves the good combo of rigidity, weight, and solid color.
The fun game I play when someone asks to try; I read them. Talk to them for a sec, look them over, then give them a different color set that matches them.
Looking back, I'd have got the "pure staff" ends as well for practice.
The LEDs are durable, but I play real rough and have exploded a lot of them. Keep it in the grass and you're cool.
I'll be placing my order for that two part kit shortly.
Buy one! Shoot, buy two.
