Expression Issue 13 - Spring
Spring is nearly here and there’s a buzz of energy in the air. Personally I feel like getting outdoors more, starting new stuff and generally getting amongst it more. If you’re feeling a bit the same too we’ve got loads of fun gigs and events coming up both at the shop and around the place, including the Big Burn Off Fire Twirling Competition, Jam Nights, Dance workshops and heaps more.

Big Burn Off II - Fire Twirling Comp

We’re excited to announce the date for our annual Fire Twirling Comp on Sunday 17th September @ Currumbin parkland.  
The first Threeworlds Fire Twirling Comp. was a huge hit with some of the Australia’s top twirlers making the trek for the comp. You can check out some of last year’s footage on our website www.threeworlds.com.au
Fire spinners get ready, ‘cause this extravaganza bonanza will inspire and implode. It’s time to get your group together and start working on a routine.

1st Prize $1000.00 @ Threeworlds – Ninja Level (advanced group performance)                                - entry fee $35 per group

1st Prize $300.00   @ Threeworlds – Grasshoppers Level (intermediate group performance)               - entry fee $20 per group

There will also be other great prizes yet to be announced, contact Threeworlds if you would like to sponsor or be a part in any way!
Entries are open to groups of 2 or more and there are two levels, Ninjas (advanced) and Grasshoppers (intermediates). Performers to book in by the 15th September.

                                                                        

Pulse Dance

Get out of the dinghy clubs, drug induced raves and all night doofs into a healthy, and inspiring dance experience.
This Saturday night there is a new dance night happening at the Three Worlds backroom.
Hamilton Barnett, the creator of the Uki Glo Dance Café, is putting on a stomping two hour dance session, offering a clear space to cut loose and dance out your stuff.  

Hamilton DJ’s an eclectic mix of uplifting and soulful dance music, global, trancin, tribal, and funkin, and facilitates the space to get the dancin fully moving and the vibe free and wild.  
Don’t miss it!!!

Jam Nights + Regular Gigs
What’s happening at Threeworlds every month starting next month.
We’ve jam packed our calendar full of regular gigs and events, so now there’s always stuff to do every Friday night.


Jam Night - Sept 1st @ 7.30pm
Now on the 1st Friday of every month. It’s a great way to end the week and release what’s been and bring on the weekend. If you’ve got a song to sing or just want to jam out in the drum circle bring your drums, guitars and instruments for a night of music making. Free

Red Faces - Sept 8th @ 7.30pm
A random night of performance art held on the 2nd Friday every month. If you have an act, a skit, a video clip, some jokes or whatever it's all about a night of silliness, lightness, laughs, freaks and fun.
Expressions Night - Sept 15th @ 7.30pm
A big night out of local live music and DJ’s brought to you by Expressions.

Movie Night - Sept 22nd @ 7.30pm
Our regular film night that’s not regular at all. We’ll be screening films that are uplifting, inspiring and thought-provoking. To find out what's on, email or call the shop. :)


                                                                        

Fire Twirling Course

4 week Course $50, for everyone and any level (beginners to advanced).
Learn any style you like - Firestick, Fire poi, Double sticks or Contact twirling. There’s always something new to discover in fire twirling and Matt will get you started if you’re a beginner and challenge you if you’re already firetwirling.

Drumming Course

Starts on the 5th Sept.
7pm. @ Threeworlds
$50 for the four weeks.
$20 drum hire if needed.
The drumming courses are a great way to learn, stretching over 4 weeks. We get the chance to learn the basics and go into make a full rhythm, with a couple of calls and a bit of game playing along the way. So if you want to join this next course, CLICK HERE to book.
