You have a stock of spiritual powers at your disposal. The key is simply to know these powers and to use the right power in the right situation. They will help you to maintain a peaceful state of mind throughout the many scenes you may face in your day. The Power of Discrimination: The ability to know right from wrong, true from false, and positive from negative. This requires a calm, clear mind free from the clouds of bias, expectations and desires. Like a jeweller able to assess the true diamond from the false. The Power of Judgement: The Power of Tolerance: True tolerance is not merely “putting up with”, but rather it means not to look at each other’s mistakes and defects all the time, but to have the wisdom to look at the good sides in ourselves and others. The power of tolerance enables the soul to dance with happiness. The Power to Accommodate/ Adjust: It is important that we are able to adjust ourselves to every kind of situation without losing ourselves in the process. We become like the ocean, vast and unlimited in our thinking able to adjust to whatever circumstances surround us. The Power to Pack Up: Put a full stop to the past, let the past be the past so that we can get on with the present. Leave behind the excess baggage of wasteful and negative thoughts. The Power to Cooperate: The Power to Withdraw: Become the observer of the drama of life, sit back, take a deep breath, consider the consequences of any action and then act. Only when we are able to mentally detach ourselves from the dramas around us can we then use our powers of judgement and discrimination. The Power to Face: Nothing seems like an obstacle, but rather a stepping stone to victory. The most important thing for us to face is our own selves, to acknowledge our own weaknesses so that we can overcome them and also our own strengths so that we can nurture them. Good Luck… |
