What an amazing transformation!! A crew of locals have pitch together to turn what was a desolate carpark into a beautiful garden/play space.
The opening was a great success, with workshops, live music (left: Mitch Gittoes right: Wunluv African Drumming Group) and a great vibe. The space named "Urban Eden" will be used for environment workshops, (and drumming and fire twirling of course), live music nights and also acts as a space for people to get their hands in the soil and plant some vegies.
The garden is the the rear of Threeworlds in Mermaid Beach.
This is our second batch of glo poi/glow poi, and we have made a few additions/modifications.
1. We have improved the connection between the ball and the cord,
now using thick plastic coated, 2mm steel cable. This is the area we
have seen the most issues with all the different brands of glo poi.
2. All function operating from a
push button. On/Off, Rainbow, Single Colour and Strobe.
Last weekend Threeworlds was invited to run workshops at the Expo 88 Celebrations at Southbank in Brisbane. The workshops quickly turned into a drumming jam that lasted the whole day.
The young kids were very keen to get a go on the drums as parents waited for their go.
It was heaps of fun, and the vibe was high. The other workshops in the expo area included lantern making, puppet making, flag and angel wing making along with processions and a market. Great day out in the park.
This video is from a Threeworlds Drumming Troupe performance from ages ago. It was at the Xavier Rudd concert in front of 1200 people. Was a great vibe and heaps of fun.

From the first Threeworlds Fire Twirling Comp. held at Burleigh Heads in Queensland 2005. This team was runners up with much debate about if they should have won. Very close... The footage of the winners is really dark, so we aren't going to post it, sorry..But take a look at this one.
